The situation

What has happened

Your line check is on SB207, a full 34-seat service from Tamworth to Sydney. You will complete the pre-flight cabin safety and security checks, deliver the safety briefing, manage boarding and the cabin during the sector, and complete the post-flight checks, all with the Cabin Services Manager observing. During the sector a simulated passenger medical event will be introduced: a passenger becomes pale, sweaty and unresponsive during descent. You will need to provide first aid, use the cabin oxygen and first aid kit, communicate with the flight crew, decide with them whether to request an ambulance to meet the aircraft, manage the other passengers and report the event afterwards through the Safety Reporting System.

Your brief. Complete every pre-flight and post-flight cabin check to the checklist, deliver the briefing and manage the cabin to the standard, respond to the medical event with correct first aid and communication, and lodge an accurate occurrence report after landing.

What to look for

Evidence guide

Use direct observation in a cabin trainer or simulated cabin. Look for complete and recorded checks, a briefing delivered to the standard, a first aid response that follows the airline's protocol, structured communication with the flight crew, care for other passengers and an occurrence report that is accurate and factual. Check the crew record currency step was completed.

The student's evidence summary lists every record they created or changed in the systems named above, their notes and the tasks they ticked. Verify it against the deliverables and your own assessment tool.
